Introduction to Water Works
The more information we have about the Isle of Pi and Chaos Compound, the more easily we can capture Col. Chaos. This mission focuses on four man-made water features on the island: a fish pond, a hot tub, a swimming pool, and a water tower. All of these objects are cylinder in shape. Use (π r2 x h = v) to find the amount of water in each feature. Remember to use 3.14 for π for all of the problems on this site. R is for radius. H stands for height (or in this case depth). V is for volume.

Water Works #1
On the Isle of Pi there is a man-made fish pond that is perfectly round. If the fish pond has a diameter of 2 meters and a depth of .5 meters, how much water can the fish pond hold in cubic meters?
a. 3.14 cubic meters
b. 1.57 cubic meters
c. 6.28 cubic meters
Water Works #2
Col. Chaos has a hot tub. If the diameter is 4 meters and the depth is 1 meter, how much water (volume) will the hot tub hold in cubic meters?
a. 12.56 cubic meters
b. 25.12 cubic meters
c. 50.24 cubic meters

c. 50.24 cubic meters
Water Works #3
Col. Chaos has a round swimming pool. If the radius of the pool is 4 meters and the depth is 2 meters, what is the volume of the swimming pool in cubic meters?
a. 25.12 cubic meters
b. 50.24 cubic meters
c. 100.48 cubic meters
Water Works #4
On the Isle of Pi, there is a water tower that supplies fresh water to the Chaos Compound. If the radius is 8 meters and the height is also 8 meters, what is the volume of water in cubic meters?
a. 1607.68 cubic meters
b. 803.84 cubic meters
c. 401.92 cubic meters

Chaos Compound #1
Chaos Compound is a circular building in the middle of the Isle of Pi. The building is 120 meters from one edge to the other. There is a parking garage on the bottom floor, offices in the middle and a penthouse apartment on the top. Remember to use 3.14 for pi for this problem and all your other calculations on this site.
What is the area of the parking garage?
a. 11,304 square meters
b. 12, 306 square meters
c. 10, 314 square meters
